Recent Burglaries
1-28-07

There has been a rash break-ins in Del Aire within the last two weeks. The following is an excerpt from Deputy Andy Ruiz:

[...There have been five residential burglaries in the area south of 120th Street. This is horrible news. I have requested extra patrol checks by our patrol personnel on days since this is when the burglaries appear to be occurring. In my past experiences, your neighborhood has been great in assisting us catch these criminals by reporting suspicious activity. In every residential burglary case I have made an arrest in, it has been because some vigilant citizen saw a suspicious person in the neighborhood, or breaking into a house, and called the Sheriff's Department. They provided specific details to the dispatchers as to what the suspects were doing, wearing, and were they fled to upon the arrival of patrol deputies. Please pass on to the community that they play an important part in preventing crime and catching criminals in their neighborhoods. Below are a list of the places burglarized:

5500 block 122nd St
5200 block 126th St
5200 block 127th Pl
5500 block 120th St
5400 block 121st St

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.

As Deputy Ruiz stated above, as Community Members we are our best defense. Let's all keep an eye out for our neighbors and report any suspicious activity or unfamiliar persons loitering in our neighborhood.

Officer Andy Ruiz is the Sheriff's Department Representative assigned to our neighborhood.
