On April 19, 2006
Los Angeles World Airports [LAWA] held a meeting to discuss possible
strategies to mitigate increases in traffic caused by the expansion
of LAX. Many good ideas were put forward. Among other thing's, the
DNA suggested that a "trucks only" lane be created around the
northeast and south sides of LAX to take the cargo trucks off
Century, Aviation and Imperial Highway. More meetings will be held
to discuss these and other issues, including sound proofing.
