Aire-Hollyglen Bike Path Closure
 In June of 2004, the Hawthorne City Council closed the bike path
between Del Aire and Hollyglen. Prior to the closure, discussions
were held between the Hollyglen Homeowner’s Association, the city of
Hawthorne and the new developer of the LA Air Force Base property
about said closure. Those three parties all made attempts to find an
organization that represented the Del Aire community's interest, but
since this was before the DNA was formed, they were not able to find
one. The ultimate result was to close the bike path without our
input. The DNA does not believe this is the end of the story and we
have enlisted the support of Yvonne Burke and her helpful staff. Any
