Neighborhood Watch—Residential Burglary Trend

On August 3, 2005, Captain Richard Adams of the Lennox Sheriff’s Department wrote a letter to the El Camino Village Association regarding residential burglaries in their area. (Click here to view the letter).  Captain Adams has made this letter available to make Del Aire residents aware of this trend.

(Excerpt from letter) Residents should be aware and mindful of the following information provided by station crime analysis:

SUSPECT ACTIONS: Suspect(s) usually knocks on the front door first and when resident does not respond, suspect proceeds to the side or rear of the residence for point of entry through window or sliding glass door; residences are heavily ransacked and cash, jewelry and smaller electronics are taken.

SUSPECT PROFILE: Based on arrests made, suspicious persons information and suspects observed, the suspects are female and male African Americans, approximately 18-21 years of age.

Silver/Blue, Newer Compact
Dark, Older Camaro
Dark Blue Olds/Cadillac, 4-Door, Lt. Blue Landau Top, Plate Similar to 2KNL359
Black newer Chrysler Pacifica, 4-Door
Silver, Newer VW Beetle, 2-door.
